The art of printing is in the spotlight at the Tokyo Printing House. This interactive museum is dedicated to the history and evolution of printing as a means of communication that shaped civilisation, from Gutenberg’s revolutionary work to digital printing.

Permanent and temporary exhibitions show old machines, vintage posters and reference works. After having contemplated these visual treasures, visitors are able to participate in a practical workshop that helps you get to grips with typographic printing. Elsewhere the printed fiction comes alive with an immersive experience provided by the museum’s virtual reality theatre.
