From 8th October 2018 until 19th January 2019, the Maison de Thé is hosting the photo exhibition Colours of Japan, put together by photographer Hidenobu Suzuki.

Photography was actually a career change for this former hair stylist. In this exhibition, he offers a voyage to the very heart of Japan, through the four seasons. His photos reveal landscapes which are sumptuous.

What sets Suzuki apart from the rest is his atypical approach, through which he seeks to link photography to Japanese painting. He captures some landscapes using a flash which enables him to glorify his images with an authenticity that’s unique to him. In a real explosion of colours, Suzuki shows us a poetic, peaceful vision of Japan.

In a subtle blend of spirituality and technology, Hidenobu Suzuki manages to capture this softness which is both raw and explosive, so typical of the Japanese archipelago.
