Liam Wong: Capturing Tokyo’s Electric Nights

©Liam Wong
When Liam Wong, Art Director at Ubisoft, went to Tokyo on business, it was love at first sight.
More accustomed to working on the visual design for video games like Far Cry, he returned to the bustling Japanese capital, but this time with his camera.
At night, he wanders around this city that never sleeps, capturing the liveliness of passers-by and the dazzle of neon lights. He posts the photos on Instagram, bringing out the exhilarating nature of Tokyo by night, even in the rain, in his series Tokyo Nights (TO:KY:OO).
His eye sharp as he walks through the streets, Liam Wong shares his photos with as many people as possible. From Shibuya to Shinjuku via Asakusa and Akihabara, a vibrant pink mixes with an electric blue which instantly immerses us in a futuristic world, at the crossroads between Enter the Void and Blade Runner.
