But cuisine is always better shared, and Masato begins to seeks the recipe for balance between his life and the presence of the past.
The film is a delicious hour and 30 minutes, and an ode to the subtlety of Asian culture and gastronomy, offering scenes that are both gastronomically and emotionally rich. The film treats themes of acceptation, forgiveness and reconciliation with great delicacy, also evoking the Second World War and the Japanese occupation of Singapore. From Chili Crab to Bak Kut Teh, Ramen Teh is a recipe for success that will whet the appetite of spectators.
