At some point, we’ll have to stop lying to ourselves and finally own up to our secret desires. We have at least two: to get rich and then be able to afford this loaf of bread-shaped bed. You didn’t know it before you saw it, but this object is now part of your life and won’t leave you until you’ve had a chance to sleep in it.
Dreamt up by Japanese chair and armchair makers Cellutane, these ‘slices’ are handmade and emphasise quality and comfort. Prices start at 15,800 yen (€125). The only snag is that, folded out, this gem measures just 167cm in length. Perfect for children, but otherwise you’ll have to get used to sleeping with your legs dangling. Well, it probably wouldn’t be too difficult…
