Davelle, the Restaurant That is Both Intimate and Relaxed

©Paul Jian @awakenjian
The restaurant Davelle is supremely intimate, with just twenty or so painstakingly designed seats. As with his former restaurant, owner Yudai Kanayama has decided to place a premium on the design of his new location. The space is cosy, inspired by kissaten, traditional Japanese cafés which have flourished since the late 19th century.
At Davelle, food and drink are consumed from ceramic crockery, while the menu touts inventive noodle dishes, soups and breads as well as a street food selection, revisiting the best of Japanese gastronomy. With such a range of inspiring flavour combinations and an exquisite decor, Davelle is both original and authentic.
