Jin Kichi: the Spirit of an Izakaya in London

In the well-off area of Hampstead in London, nestled discreetly amongst florists and jewellers, lies the green facade of Jin Kichi, a Japanese restaurant that specialises in authentic cuisine.
Considered one of the best spots in the area, Jin Kichi has a small functional kitchen with a robata grill for chicken skewers or, perhaps more of a surprise for British gourmet tastes, beef tongue. Classic dishes, from tempura to sushi, are delivered with precision. That’s how Jin Kichi has managed to capture perfectly the spirit of an izakaya.
