Eighteen Takes on Ramen at this Autumn’s Tokyo Ramen Show

One of the biggest open-air events dedicated to ramen took place in the Komazawa Olympic Park in Tokyo from 25 October to 4 November. The first part of the event lasted six days and included 18 ramen suppliers, while the second instalment took place over the last five days with 18 different producers of this emblematic dish.
Appreciated across Japan and well beyond its borders, ramen is a dish which is concocted in different ways according to the region, using local products where possible. This diversity of scope was platformed at the Tokyo Ramen Show 2018 with the aim of promoting culinary culture and education, as well as tourism in the archipelago. The funds raised by the event will be, as per each year, reinvested in development projects in the region.
To celebrate this tenth edition, Japanese and international visitors got to sample the best of the ramen world, while watching traditional music and dance shows.
