Hotel Zaborin, Relax in Paradise in Hokkaido

Located in Hokkaido, the northernmost of the Japanese islands, Zoborin is nestled among a haven of nature from where it welcomes its visitors. Much more than just a hotel, its quiet, idyllic surroundings and luxurious rooms ensure a tranquil stay for all guests.
Hotel Zaborin is a real bucolic cocoon, surrounded by meadows and forests and on the edge of Hokkaido’s most beautiful ski slopes. Without departing from the traditions of the ryokan, the hotel displays a classic touch and irreproachably warm welcome. The establishment puts forward a more modern face through its architecture, designed by Makoto Nakayama, whose creation is in utmost harmony with the surrounding nature. This underpinning concept of fusion between interior and exterior is signposted by the name of the hotel, Zaborin, meaning ‘to sit and escape in the woods through thought’.
Serenity also reigns within the establishment, notably around the dining table where traditional meals prepared by a Japanese chef trained internationally, elevating ingredients purloined from the forest and lake adjacent to the hotel. Guests can stay in one of fifteen private villas each with an indoor and outdoor onsen with panoramic views of the skies of the trees. All this luxury certainly has a price, that of an indulgent stay in Japan.
