NEON GLOW
The Yokohama-based neon sign master Hidenobu Takahashi became enchanted with neon signs in New York and Las Vegas and is now the man who crafts many of Tokyo’s glowing message boards. After working at a billboard company, he apprenticed with an atelier in Kamata, Tokyo.
Now, his own atelier in Yokohama crafts order-made neon signs with precision and passion. His love for this disappearing art goes into every piece of work he produces. In this episode, we’ll glimpse into his craft and see the passion he puts into his work.
